Othmer
Ore: Feldspath
Overview
Only one feldspar mine is currently operating in Quebec. It is the Othmer (Perkins-Feldspar) mine located north of Buckingham in the Outaouais region. A small amount of potassium feldspar was mined for two to three months this year. The feldspar extracted from this mine was used in the manufacture of dental porcelain.
